I guess being a frequent traveler, some experiences are expected and don't come as an absolute surprise, even when as a first instance.

I remember the first chaotic incident, years back, on an Emirates flight when the pilot overshot the runway, and had to get back to the cycling pattern for another 10 minutes. I think the worst part of the incident was that the pilot made no announcement of what happened, and a whole 10 minutes of prayers and open defecation in the plane felt like a lifetime.
I remember also at a local flight to Eldoret, when one engine of Fly540.com shut down mid-flight and we had to fly back to Nairobi.

Today's flight had every sign of trouble, when we had to wait an hour past the scheduled departure time. Ethiopian Airlines announced that they were waiting for a delayed passenger all this while. We left an hour late, and less than  45 minutes later were being flown back by autopilot to Addis Ababa due to technical fault.  Fortunately, we landed well, and are scheduled to board a different flight shortly.

It is #notyetthetime. So I will continue to tell such tells for a while to come
